Styled Shoot: Rooftop Love Affair

If you love the city, a rooftop wedding allows you to take advantage of the skyline view for an unforgettable experience. In this luxe modern styled shoot event planner Michelle Gainey of Lemiga events creates a scene perfect for a stylish couple that appreciates clean lines with glamorous touches. Bold and beautiful jewel tone shades of purple, black, and silver are mixed with textures and patterns. The Lemiga team incorporated velvet, acrylic, and a striking black and silver pattern. For the escort card display, they tied seating cards to champagne split bottles allowing them to double as favors. The wedding cake was a mix of clean lines on the top and lots of texture on the bottom. All of the beautiful stationery by Papered Wonders incorporated the purple and silver colors plus a beautiful custom wax seal monogram that the couple can continue to use for years to come. The bride wore a bold, sexy and modern Berta gown. The groom wore a classic black tux from the Modern Gent. Being out on the rooftop for a wedding can present its own set of challenges like high winds. Using an acrylic table allowed the team to have a dramatic look for the dinner estate table without the worry of the linen flying away.

Baby Shower: Winter Wonderland

A Boogie with the Hoodie is one of hip hop’s new artists to watch. With two platinum tracks and a spot on XXL Magazine’s Freshman Class list, he is a rising star in the industry. But on a chilly January day in Manhattan, Boogie’s highest honor was being recognized as Dad-To-Be. He and girlfriend Ella celebrated their daughter’s arrival with a winter wonderland shower that included several nods to dad’s skyrocketing career; starting with the new baby’s name, Melody. Boogie also took the stage during the shower to perform. “The most unique aspect of A Boogie and Ella’s shower is that he performed his latest song so we made sure he had a stage,” the team from Primrose Couture Events said. To help create the winter wonderland the Primrose team took inspiration from textures and colors of fabrics found at Mood. Soft pinks and silvers with hints of purple to accent were used as a color palette. The accent seen in both mom’s fierce hair highlights and in the uplighting, something the Primrose team believes can change the overall visual success of any event. “The event space was pretty dark! We always advise everyone to choose lighting. Lighting can change the look of any venue,” the team said. Along with the soft color palette, the design team incorporated over the top snowflakes that were seen on guest’s custom bottle favors and on the top of two, three-tier cakes. Ella requested the winter wonderland theme and asked that the entire event be simple yet elegant. A party to welcome a new princess of hip-hop in a unique style.

Details such as the gorgeous floral centerpieces complete with lush roses, golden accents on the table decor and design, a 6-tier gold and white elegant cake by Cakes by LaMeeka, candles, and of course the perfect mood lighting to accent the evening all helped create the elegant ambiance. Jacinta’s bridal gown was a an ivory/nude Justin Alexander Lace Mermaid Gown with Tulle Handkerchief Skirt. Her reception gown was gold with sequin embellishments to match her wedding colors. The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica where they enjoyed the sun, sand, and fun. Jacinta’s advice to brides is, “Enjoy the wedding planning process!
